Ian Curtis (Joy Division): vocals
Elizabeth Fraser (Cocteau Twins): vocals
John Frusciante (RHCP): guitar
Robert Smith (the Cure): guitar, vocals
Michael Brook: guitar
Gail-Ann Dorsey (David Bowie): bass, vocals
Tori Amos: piano, vocals
Herbie Han****: keyboards
Peanut Butter Wolf: DJ
Jerome "Bigfoot" Brailey (Parliament): drums

What can I say, I love big projects. I'd rather hear three guitarists playing four notes each than one guitarist shredding necks into matchsticks. And I'd have to have lots of different vocal styles in there.

Ah Christoph, I was going to post the exact same list. You are a man of excellent taste. Why they are letting their talents fade away is beyond me.

I've got a couple that are partially-existent:

Guitars: Wes Borland and James Black (finger eleven)
Bass: Danny Lohner
Keys: Jordan Rudess
Drums: Greg *something* (from Eat The Day)
Vocals: Maynard James Keenan/Amy Lee (Evanescence)

Wes, Danny, and Maynard collaborated already on the Underworld soundtrack, and Greg plays in Wes' band named above, Amy worked with The Damning Well (Wes, Danny, Josh Freese (A Perfect Circle), and Richard Patrick (filter)) but the label won't let them release the track, also, Wes is planning on producing Evanescence's new album, and there's rumours he may tour with them.

1. Eddie Van Halen
2. Alex Van Halen
3. David Lee Roth
4. Michael Anthony

One listen to the glory days reminds me of why virtually all rock guitarists wanted to BE Eddie in the '80s, VH was simply on fire. And all the SONGS still sound AWESOME, something that cannot be said for many of the "virtuoso" guitarists of the '80s or any other time. Plus Me Wise Magic and Can't Get This Stuff No More proved the old chemistry was still magic, too bad egos got in the way. DLR brough out the best in Steve Vai too.
