Re: Famous players guitar picks

I think it's a cool thing to collect, especialy the rare 80's ones. It makes me want to start up my own "hair metal " collection. I'd love things like Reb Beach, Adrian Vandenburg, Vitto Bratta, Phil Collen, Adrian Smith etc etc.
They're not all players I love but it'd be a cool theme.

Re: Famous players guitar picks

The only guitar pick ive got is one i caught at a concert a few years ago.

It was Steve Wray from the band Blaze (Blaze Bayley, ex Iron Maiden singer, horrible in maiden, but his solo stuff was really quite good!). Not well known by any strech of the imagination, but he was a decent metal player .

Ibanez Collector, I hardly have any southern rock at all. I know Betts has them, but I've never been in a position to get one. I have some Marshall Tucker Band Confederate RR & Little Feat I'll post as we get further into it.

Epicus, I had one from Petrucci but I gave it to a friend who is a big fan. It was a yellow Ernie Ball with his name printed on it.

Drag, I'm sure your Beanie Babies bring you more joy, but just bear with us here. =-)

If you couldn't get a Chrome Boy guitar, maybe you could get a Chrome Boy pick from Joe!

Thats what this thread is for! I doubt Paul rarely, if ever throws these to the crowd because of their application. I've never seen anyone else with them either.

Now for something a little bit heavier. These are the picks that Tom, Kerry & Jeff used on their 1990 world tour in support of Clash of the Titans with Megadeth, Alice in Chains & Anthrax.

These picks belong to Hide (pronounced Heday in English) from the Japanese rock group X-Japan. Unfortunately Hide commited suicide some time ago and is no longer with us.

The extent of my "famous pic" collection is one of the "Is There Love In Space" tour pics, black with white line artwork by Joe's son. I got it from his tech - it's cool, though I'm pretty hooked on Jazz III's myself these days.

Um, anything from Porcupine Tree or Opeth? Also, did Dunlop ever do Jazz III's with band logos on them? I;d be curious to see them, if so...
