Cool Female metal bands

Hi!

I'd like to know if some of you people know about some really good female metal bands.
I've honestly never heard a good female metal band. I'm extremely picky and most of the bands I listen to haven't written ONE bad song so what I mean with good female band's should be bands who has write only good songs. I'm not against women or anything but when it comes to music I'm judging everything from what sounds good or bad and there are already so many bands out there that I'm not gonna waste my time on people who write only some good songs.

If some of you out there know of some cool band it would be awesome if you could share them with me

Keep on rockin' everybody!!!

No, sorry. LOL. I could not think of any. There is the metal band who's singer is a woman, and she growls as deeply as any man I've heard. But, I don't like that type of metal.

Arch Enemy?

Can't think of any either. I used to like Phantom Blue years ago but I think that had something to do with seeing the drummer on one of those Hard 'N' Heavy videos...

Every band has written at least one bad song.

Re: Female metal bands

While we're on the topic of death metal, The Agonist has a pretty amazing vocalist, and I like every one of their songs

Pretty kickass chorus

There's also Lacuna Coil and Nightwish for not-death metal, though I am not a huge fan of either of them, none of their songs seem to be very 'exciting' or really cool imho.

And these guys have terrible songs, but some people would be fooled by the singer :

haha well I really like Arch Enemy but I wouldn't consider them as a female band. I mean it's just the singer who's a woman

Re: Female metal bands

Try this band www.myspace.com/disseverence . They're not death metal or Euro style symphonic metal. Rumor has it their guitarist is a Jemsiter and owns one of the fabled RG 565 prototypes!

You should be beaten with a small stick for linking to that. How awful.

Re: Female metal bands

Doro comes to mind but again, a female vocalist in an all male band. She was the vocalist for Warlock before she went solo.
here she is doing a dio cover:

Re: Female metal bands

The only one that comes to my mind is Arch Enemy, but it has already been mentioned and only the singer is a woman.

Like my friends say, in order to get to know a really good band, you must go through a lot of mediocre bands, until you find one that you really like and doesn't have bad songs
