Good News from Blacksburg Va.

I haven't been here very often for a while, but I thought I'd share this anyway. I just got home from my first solo gig in a restaurant. I didn't make much tip money but I did have someone from the Virginia Tech alumni association ask for my contact information. Hopefully this will mean more gigs (and more $$) in the not too distant future. I'm going to try playing in more restaurants for tip money as well.

I never thought I'd be doing gigs as a solo guitarist, but stranger things have happened in life. I find it funny that I'm finding more work as a guitarist than as a designer (in which I have a degree).

I hope things go well for you : )

I'm too nervous to play in front of other people.... my fingers stutter.

I used to think that I was too nervous to play, but then I realized that the chemicals I take into my body have a direct effect on how Jittery I get when I try to play, or do anything else, in front of an audience. (which means I must AVOID CAFFINE when I have a gig) Plus its nice in a restaurant because very few people are actualy paying attention to what I'm doing. Also, a bit of practice and experience helps tremendously.
