Good tutor near Halifax UK

Can anyone suggest a good teacher for both technique and theory around the Halifax area in the UK.

I'm particularly interested in finding someone who can teach blues/rock/metal style but am also interested in neo classical.

I ideally want to find somone who can really help me progress and isnt in the business of just taking money and handing back old rope.

"No" is the short answer.

When I was last there there wasn't even a proper guitar shop in town and you had to go to Huddersfield to find anything more than a pack of strings. I'm not aware of any notable guitar teachers in the area. Your best chance is to find two or three guitar shops in teh semi local area and ask them for recommendations and see if any of the names match up.

You might have a better chance in Leeds though.

Thanks Jono; I also thought that Leeds is likley to be my best option.

You are right about Halifax; It truly is a dead town as far as music shops are concerned
