Re: Have a watch 2

Do any of you get all nutty like Vai when your doing a show? His playing rules, but his goofyness when he's playing makes it more entertaining than just the shred. Johnson could have picked up a few face twisters from Vai when he was on the G3 tour.

Since I'm in a country band. I couldn't be that crazy. But when your on stage, trying to entertain the masses, there seems to be a fine line between when you feel like you are entertaining, and when you look like a retard. I was told that you can get away with anything on stage and people will eat it up. But I suppose I'm to insecure to push the limits. I have decided that I'm going to try darn hard to not be boring though. And it's near impossible to read the audience sometimes. Those of you who gig regularly will know what I'm talking about. People that sit there with thier arms crossed, look bored, but after the show, they tell you they loved it. From that, I have learned to not think your show sucks just because not everyone is looking all excited. Just put on your show, do your best, try not to drop too many notes, don't be a lump on a log on stage, remember that everyone is there to be entertained and are staring at you, so try hard to give them what they came for, then enjoy yourself because it's your 2 hours of fame.

I always think eric johnson looks tense while playing even malmsteen looks more relaxing when he's playing, I like Mr vai's facial expression, I even try to copy his style though, it always entertain the people that way

Re: Have a watch 2

Is that G3?

I know he leaves out the teachers vocal tracks to Audience on the DVD, but thats cool that hes starting to include it, it really makes the piece whole, which was lacking on the DVD performance.
