Help me win a lesson from Satch! and an IBANEZ JS20S!!!! (plus more)

Hi, my name is Jesse Christaldi. I'm entered into a guitar competition put on by Guitar Center and Joe Satriani. If I win I get flown to L.A. for a master class with Satriani! put up in a hotel for a few days, I get an Ibanez JS20S (which I hope to get signed), and some miscellaneous things such as 12 of Joe's custom straps (not sure what I''d do with 12, might just have to buy a few more guitars!)

I would REALLY love to win this! it would be a dream come true, Satriani is one of my favorite guitar players.

In order to win I need YOUR help! The way the competition works is this: I made and submitted a video of an original take on Satriani's "Dream Song". Then the competition site monitors how many views/fans I have on various sites (youtube, facebook, etc.), in order to make it to the judging round (where Satriani himself will supposedly be a judge) I need to have enough views. I feel like this forum is the perfect place to find some help!

Here is the link to the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NnDWggtuUY

And the fan page I had to make for it: http://www.facebook.com/JesseChristaldiFan

Please like them, join them, share, and spread them! I would really appreciate it! Thanks for reading and for helping me out!

First off, I'm trying to be helpful.
If I were a judge and was trying to critique your music-

I listened to your video for a little bit.
The tapping goes on too long and gets a little repetitive.
There are two ways to judge music, from a guitarist standpoint and the average Joe's ear (a person that doesn't play music).
A really good song will please both.

The cool tapping thing you were doing should just be a small run somewhere in the song, not a big chunk.
Tell a story with your music, don't just show us how technically you can play.
I'm not saying don't be technical, just use your technique wisely.
Good Luck!

Hey, thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. I was going for a Satriani style, and many of his songs are a little repetitive like that, and the actual backing track itself is very repetitive with the only real change being the two small chorus sections. I wasn't necessarily doing the tapping for technicality, I just thought it made a neat melody for the verse, so I have to disagree that it should only be a small chunk, tapping is used for melody lines all of the time. However, I can see what your saying, I was worried it might be a little too repetitive for some people.

Thanks for the advice!
