John Petrucci's Rock Discipline....

Hey!

Does anyone own the DVD/VHS (or better mpg ) of this? Is it any good? Is it worth the dough? I'm getting into technique again, as I realized I really suck ...

Informative, but boring. Not worth the $$, IMO and I paid $20.

Most of it you may already know - stretching excercises, picking exercises.

No guitar center here in Europe

Yeah it's the DVD of it. Description here. I think that sounds pretty sweet (the extra features especially)...

Well you've seen the reviews there. He's actually trying to teach us something. Maybe you should perform a search on the forum...It's been discussed a couple of times.

Just look around on the internet for unlocking region codes on your DVD player...should be possible from the secret hidden factory menu...and maybe not...give it a try. And it should be in Europe also...try amazon.co.uk ...maybe they've got it over there...

I got my copy a few days ago. I actually like it a lot. Petrucci is pretty good (I am not as familiar with him as some people on this site) and he explains the techniques well. I would recommend it.

Well I meant in his teaching abilities but yeah I guess that was stating the obvious. Again, I'm not that familiar with him or Dream Theater.
