so i wanna do a little improv over one of my favorite all time songs, little wing

but im stuck..
most of my improvising is around the Eminor pentatonic, so it kinda gets boring after a while

does any1 have any ideas or songs i should learn to get my pentatonic licks abit more exciting?

and another question:
if i was to tackle it modaly, what modes would i use?

Learn all the Box Positions so you're able to move around the neck during a chord. For E Minor, try licks and runs in C Lydian and G Ionian, since each root note (C and G) in these modes plays a qualitative role for the tonic note, E natural. Sweeping triads and sliding, pentatonic double stops always help too.

his Down To Mexico is good for pentatonic ideas as well
