My first Dropped A song. *UPDATE - FOUR NEW SONGS*

Tuned my sevenstring to dropped A tuning and this is what I came up with:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/5738957/Drop%20A.mp3

Some sort of metal with a few progressive parts. I really had rough time when recording some parts that had really annoying time signatures like 11/16 etc.

Hope you like it! Feedback would be nice.

No vocals, but the song needs some low pitched moaning

Today I'm going to hang out with a singer buddy of mine. I've written the lyrics for this song and I'll get him drunk and make him sing the song. So beware of an update in a few days.

The genre of this song will be zombie metal

Thanks!

I use Ezdrummer with the Nashville expansion. It's the country drum set as you clearly can hear

Some new songs here. They're still on the demo stage and I'm currently working on the lyrics. Then we'll do the vocals for the rest of the songs some day.

OK, I listened to all of your posted songs and like all of them (I'm a prog metal guy disguised as an 80's metal reject).

There's one I want to talk about though...........SLOVARI!!!

You need to concentrate on producing this song professionally!!!!! get a VOCALIST to finish it not a singer. polish up the bass tracks (you need a different patch for where the bass and keys play alone) Last, download the DFH kit and use that. spend a TON of time on the drum sounds (the tracks are great, but they sound sterile)

This is an amazing song. I'd pay BIG$$ for it. I truly hope you take it to the next level!!!!

Re: My first Dropped A song. Some sort of prog metal.

Slovari does sound great, kind of Helloween mixed with a little dream theatre to my ears. The one that really popped for me was zombie2. Alot of these tunes could go alot of different ways depending on the vocals. What vocal style are you going to shoot for? I have always liked music that sounded large if that makes any sense and your tracks have a spacious feel to them. Keep up the good work!

I totally agree. The music has a great feel to it.

I'd love to hear a female similar to Tarja Tarunen (Nightwish) on some of these tracks.

Re: My first Dropped A song. Some sort of prog metal.

Thanks for you replies!

The singer who'll do these songs is a really good one. The most of the songs will be with clean vocals and even some high notes. We've already recorded one but due to the vocalist's busyness I haven't got the first song yet.

These are rough mixes and demos. Actually the ballad was written and recorded in about one hour. Just wanted to a cheesy 80's ballad style song.

Thanx again. I'll keep this thread updated whenever it's necessary.
