Pretty cool.

The hook is almost 'Stevie Rayish', not to ignore all the Vai in there though.

Then it gets 'out there', like we expect from Steve... I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of the album after hearing this.

I dig it. It has most of the things I really like about Vai. It's a little crazy, but not too crazy, just the Vai crazy the made me like him in the first place. I look forward to getting the full album! It's definitely no "tattoo" .

I'm not a huge fan of Vai, but that track was very cool. If the rest of the album is like that I think I'll be buying it.

AFAIK this is just a stand alone album. Stripped down from the last few releases. Originally intended to be like "ALS", it evolved a bit past that, but there still aren't a ton of overdubs. (EDIT) That said, I don't have the full story, and it may be part of the trilogy, but I doubt it.

this is the second album with the theme from the first album.
am hoping for less singing on this album. wish he would just release a straight solo album.

I don't really care for this too much. I've never really liked his tracks which feature alot of dissonance. Hopefully there's more melodic tracks on the rest of the album.
