Talking New tune! Spacey, Vai-y, Me-ish!!!

Hey guys! Been working on this one for a while... Hope you like it. I'm kinda proud of how it turned out, and I hope you agree! The mix may not be perfect since all I really have is just cruddy desktop speakers and my car

This was recorded with an RG520. It was recorded in 2 sessions. The first session had the stock V7/8 pups, and the other one had DiMarzio AT-1 and Fred. From the solo onward it's the stock pups!

Anyway, here it is!! Musical happy music stuff... uh. LISTEN! Now corrected!

Happy summer, guys!

Awesome riff and great playing, got a cool progressive sense to it.. Comments about drums? Work ok, but I'd like to hear a bit more variation in them and have them sounding a little more powerful. They certainly don't detract from the song but could add something maybe?

Re: New tune! Spacey, Vai-y, Me-ish!!!

Great song Frank!! The rhythm section is a bit too repetitive (IMO) but because you used so many different techniques for the soloing.........it stays interesting through the whole song.

I think your drum tracks are sounding great too, but like robbiano said, a little more variation would go a long way. Remember that real drummers do things like accidental rim-shots, bell hits on cymbals, different intensities when they hit a head, and other minor "mistakes" that give a track a "real" feel. I'd also add some low-mids to the snare to give it a little bit of a "hollow" sound, but that's just my ear......a lot of people don't like a hollow snare sound.

Overall, this is a great track ( I d-loaded it)...... I wish I had your abilities dude!!!!!!

Nice job on this song. I'll echo others about the rhythm parts repeating too much, but overall nice song.

Cool song! I've listened to a several of your songs and I like what you do... the riff had a cool feel to it and the melodies worked well with it... nice work Frank!
Cheers,
