Passion and Warfare Tour

Hello chaps!

Did anyone from here go to this gig tonight?

First time I've seen Steve live.

I really felt the atmosphere when he played For The Love Of God!

Re: Passion and Warfare Tour

I was at the Generation Axe show last month. Found Vai's tone to be significantly thin relative to the others. How did you find the guitar sound?!

I'm definitely going to the P&W tour when it comes here.

I went to the show last night. it does say no reviews, so I'll say it was more than worth the cost of the ticket. Guitars - he started with Bo, then went between Flo and Evo for the night. No 7 strings on show?

Indeed. Surprised me to say the least. Didn't massively notice the difference in sound, but you could tell.
Back to back (my last two concerts) have been Satch and Vai - the sound/tone is noticeably different.

I told my mum she should go and she did. She's in her early seventies and she just told me 'It was outrageously awesome! What a nice chap he is.' I have a cool mum.

I know, so we won't do any reviews. We'll just talk among ourselves about how we liked the show

I was expecting to see the PAW Universe though, that would have been cool, but Vai is very modern these days which isn't a bad thing, so modern looking guitars can still do it.

Re: Passion and Warfare Tour

Do you know what was really funny, when Nikolia came on stage, poor kid, was so scared!

Then I wondered if we're going to have some cat food come on stage when that girl called Cat came on, then a bloke called Felix!

She must have been tall, since Steve is about 6'4 and she wasn't much shorter!

I really felt sorry for the kid - Steve did his best but the poor lad was frozen with fear!

Re: Passion and Warfare Tour

A lot of P&W album was written before he developed Universe,
Whitesnake was almost all 7 string.
( He said in Ibanez catalogue for 1992)

Re: Passion and Warfare Tour

You know I think she was around for the Satch show last year... Looked very familiar. Poor Nikolai....

That impromptu 'song' was very impressive.
