Pablo uses a Boss DD-3 delay pedal. His current pedalboard:

Boss Tuner - Boss DD-3 - TC Electronics Chorus - MXR Phase 90 - EH Deluxe Electric Mistress - modded Ibanez Tubescreamer (not sure which model) - Fulltone OCD - Boss GE-7

Re: Paul Gilbert playing 'Get Out of My Yard'

id like to add that paul can sweep, listen to some of his solos, (road to ruin is a good example and frenzy) you CANNOT sweep really fast and really evenly, and you CANT phrase or get the same warm sound,

has nobody noticed malmsteen cant really sweep, he only really does 3 string sweeps (which are rythmicaly easyer) with the ocasional 5 string Am arpegio. now BECKER can sweep... jst look at serreana or altitude... but the phrasing isnt that exciting

acording to the japanese bandscore gilbert sweeps this tho....LMAO

We allready established pablo 'could' sweep, its something that you have to practise or youll forget it over the years, petrucci hardly ever sweeps anymore, but he also has another way which is alt picking through arpeggios.

Malmsteens a great sweeper, very even and he uses phrasings no one has copied yet Theres hell of alot more to sweeping than sweeping like rusty cooley

This guy has worked out how to play it without a 'human capo' -

Now I'm just waiting for someone to work it out in standard tuning
