Re: Real Tube vs Amp Simulation (tone test)

I don't mean to be pedantic but isn't the VH140C solid-state (I think)? And isn't this whole thread about comparing amp modelling to a decent valve amp? I know people seem to like the sound of the VH140C, but it still kind of defeats the object if you've not bought a valve amp, doesn't it?

Still, great that you're finally thinking about something different than that XT, Joey . Miking up is an art in itself though, and you have lots of fun experimenting ahead.

Well,

Drew and Company were always on my back about mic'ed cabs...I tried this about 6 months ago,But got nowhere...

But I remember 1 thing My Ampeg VH140 C,I know what it sounded like.

This thread is just to hear what a mic'ed cab does and what Xt can do..

In a few weeks I will know..Right now I am just praying that bitch arrives ok..

lol,I can't sleep at night..

from what I can remember, everyone needs to start running to the hills...
