No, but I'd be looking forward to it.

Actually I thought unstoppable wasn't one of his better albums.

Nice.

I wasn't a huge fan of Unstoppable either. Its the keyboards that kill it for me.

Re: Satch back in studio!!

I love Unstoppable and the live show killed. If this band captures half the live magic in the studio, it will be great.

Re: Satch back in studio!!

Well, i dont think the Unstoppable Momentum was that bad.
For me the guitars coud be more present sometimes, but the song writing is still pretty good.
Like the older stuff still much more.

greetings

Re: Satch back in studio!!

I just hope he takes his time to actually craft some melodies. So much of his recent albums just sound like he is jamming over a chord progression. I miss the early satch.

Re: Satch back in studio!!

awwww yesssss, soooo looking forward to this! As a huge fan of Satch I love all his albums, but to weigh in on the Unstoppable Momentum album, I thought it was great. He took a slightly different direction than his previous albums (obviously) which to me was refreshing as a listener. Yes the solos weren't as blistering and the guitars weren't immediately in the forefront, but to a guy like me who is into a wide genre of music I totally digged it.

Re: Satch back in studio!!

I actually liked Unstoppable Momentum, simply because it was so different from the typical formula his writing had fallen into - low string riff that sounded like a cross between Led Zep and a less pissed off Rage Against The Machine, verse melody that was basically a blues lick with one "odd" note thrown in for color, modulation to a different key center or like the relative major or something for the chorus and kind of a "spacey" feel, then repeat. I just enjoyed the change.
