Question Satch Bend

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering what Satch does when he does those high pitched bends. I think most of you know what I'm talking about. Thanks, greatly appreciated.

Re: Satch Bend

Either Digitech Whammy Pedal, or he's hitting a pinch harmonic with the whammy bar held down by his left hand, then raising the bar.

Re: Satch Bend

its not pinched on the fretboard, its in the pickup area, somewhere between the 2 hums, and i think hes hitting two harmonics at the same time, its a **** hard trick to master!!, but for the same effect drop the whammy bar down and hit the natural harmonics around the 22nd fret and pull up, thats what i do

Re: Satch Bend

I think it's a pinch harmonic on the open string. he does it around where the 24th fret would be so over the neck humbucker.
