Satch's trim bar screems ?

I have seen Joe in the Live from SF video do somthing that I'm not familier with. He takes his left hand grabs the wammy bar. Then it looks like he takes his right hand and plays with the volume control. When he does this he gets the highpictched squeels. I can get the squeels when I play, but they are not a pronounced as when Joe does them. does any body know what he is doing?

Thanks,
dxs

This effect has been questioned countless times.

What he does, is grab the whammy bar with his left hand, and produced pinch harmonics on the G and B strings....he depresses as he's doing it, then slowly released....

Sometimes he'll use the whammy pedal for higher pitch..

u can get the same sorta effect in mant ways i prefer to use just a plain harmonic.

but it is just a pinched harmonic in g/b strings then dive lift or dive release
