First thing I ever learned to tap was "One" by Metallica....

Pat. 1

e--19p15p12h19p12h15
b--------------------------
g--------------------------

Pat. 2
e---20p15p12h20p12h15
b------------------------------
g-------------------------------

and so forth and so on. It takes a little getting used to, but once you've got it, the pattern's quite fast.

edit: the formatting's a pain... the "19" and the "20" are tapped.

A neat tapping pattern I love:

b ---17p---9---12h--- keep tapping this, then switch to this
b ---16p---9---12h--- and then go to this
b ---16p---9---11h--- and finally
b ---15p---9---11h--

Sounds real great, a majestic sound
