Rough night, maybe 4 hours of sleep.... Trying to get my day going and put this album on while working at my computer. Amazing work!! Never a huge Petrucci fan, but liked some of his stuff and saw him at G3. Recently discovered instrumental versions of Dream Theater and liked them. This album is really good! Creative and interesting tracks like a Satriani album, but some heavier technical stuff too. Might even have a good day despite the rough start.
Are you familiar with Liquid Tension Experiment? Is that a stupid question? I would be remiss if I did not double-check. If you like "instrumental versions of Dream Theater," you might like Liquid Tension Experiment. I could be wrong but I'm willing to risk making the suggestion.
Yeah, it was alright... thanks for asking. Life, you know, ups and downs and questionable decisions and all. People... glad I never was one! lain:
I think I have checked them out a bit... as a youtube suggested when listening to "Planet X" a while back. Seems like at the time I thought they were a bit hard to follow and very progressive, which I do like in some cases! I'll give them another try sometime, I like faster upbeat instrumental music at work to keep me moving. Whereas late in the evening at home and things are mellow I drift into the realm of "Hello Meteor" and "Tycho". My life is a constant search for new and interesting music... lol!
I reflected on what you said about Liquid Tension Experiment. Give "Universal Mind" a try. Or if you want a mellow song (it is the evening right now), give "State of Grace" a try. I don't know what YouTube recommended to you. Hopefully not the same songs.
