Rencently a new Best-CD by italian popstar Eros Ramazzotti was released and, big surprise, an old song called "Dove c'è musica" was rearranged by Steve himself! The title is "Dove c'è musica featuring Steve Vai"
It was very interesting hear Vai playing a pop song and trasforming it in somethng that in my mind is very better than the original!
Hope you can hear it too and post some comments!
Olie! You are one fking Dark Horse, my man! Can't believe you typed that! Actually, I think Ramazzotti is a talented song writer/lyricist, just not always my cuppa. I would really like to check out his and SVs collaboration!
Vai had compleately freedom on writing the song's music. He rewrote it manteining the old melody but working on all: drums guitars, bass, fills and so on...now it's more powerfull and interesting.
Very kind for the "Gratzie" but it's correct spell is "grazie"! by the way I think I've done many errors in this post...!
Eros fa la musica molto buona.
Sentirei felice una volta la canzone di Vai.
Potete scrivere dal titolo esatto che al CD ancora e possibilmente la copertura descrive.
As my Italian sucks in English:
I like Eros as lot.
Could you please post the exact CD title and possibly a cover picture also, so I can hear that song?
The title is "Dove c'è musica (featuring Steve vai)" and the CD is "E2":
you have to look for the featuring version because there's also an older version of it!
My mum is into this geezer like there's no tomorrow.
I probably own 3 or 4 of his CDs that have been given to me by her.
I really like his music, it's mellow pop music and you can just have it in the background.
My parents were over this summer (they live miles away so I only see them couple of times a year) and I put the album "9" in my car for them to listen to but I ended up keeping it there for several months after they left.
For Eros song '' un altra te '' ( I am not shure who played but , ) guitarist used UV7 black, and sound and solo are excellent !, by the way Eros play guitar it could even be him.
