Re: a video of Alejandro Silva

during some parts the 'chorus" i guess, it's an octave higher, and i can't tell if it's the keyboards or if it's another guitar with a whammy pedal.

either way, it would have sounded better without it.

Awesome. Thanks for the post. His tone is great. I would ask what amps he uses but a search on him and a hit on wikipedia shows that he has his own amp line? Are you familiar with his amp line?

It also says he's played with Vai and Satriani and it looks like a pic with him and them at '92 G3 in Chile?

Unfortunately his stuff isn't on the iTunes store so I can buy it. Grrr!

If you other guys want to hear more of him (mp3 samples from three albums), I found this:

Excellent as well. But I prefer Alejandro's tone.

Go Chile!

Plus my GF was the producer, nice work huh?
If your GF was the producer, see if you can ship some of that Alejandro tone over here to me in the U.S.

He does make his own tube amps, called POS (Piece of ****), killer sound!!!

He played with Vai in 96, then with Satriani in 2003 (I think), and finally, he was invited to the G3 Jam in 2005.

I guess it all personal taste but I preffered Claudio's video to the first one (and I enjoyed the 1st one too).

I think this guy has some realy nice chops and it's great to see someone bustin' some real moves on youtube. Best vid I've seen on there in ages imho.

Awesome tune!

Hehe, I like how the bass player mysteriously has different basses throughout the song.

Kind of reminded me of Vai's "The Crying Machine" there for a second.

That's excellent! Some tasty licks in there for sure. And girlfriend can sing! Very tight band too. I may have to buy that damn Ibanez Army DVD because you guys are hypnotizing me. Maybe Ibanez should do an Ibanez Army in every country so we all could be exposed to some new kick ass music. God knows you aren't going to hear things like this on the radio over here. Do you guys get any radio play in Chile?

And I don't care where someone is from or if they crawled out from under a rock; either you can play or you can't, and you guys certainly can. But now I'm convinced there must be something in the water down there.
