I'm currently work on that gloriously noisy, rocky technique you hear on early 70s Bowie albums. Most of the technique is in the poses so I had to buy a full-length mirror. If it looks right, it sounds right.

I'm working my way through strange beautiful music by satch - its the easiest satch album i've played - but it sounds REALLY good. And i'm doing steve vai's 10 hour workout.

I'm working on jazz material. Once you get the stuff down, it's not too hard to play, but then there's the endurance side of things. Jazz guitar is difficult to play over long periods of time. I'm also also transcribing Spiral Architect songs, very very slowly. Their stuff gets very layered and complex, so it takes a while to figure out what they're actually doing, and even longer to get used to playing their stuff up to speed.

I'm also working on the jazz thing. I'm mostly trying to build up a good repertoir of jazz tunes so I can play out more often. Something else going along with this is trying to meet other musicians in the area and do networking so I can have people for gigs (I'm not very up to the level of holding it together on my own yet). I am also working on playing less intuitively during my solos.

Finishing off an all acoustic instrumental song I was writing for my x when she wasn't my x.

Currently have 3 tracks of guitar going through 3+ mins.

It's very ballad'ish.

Writing. As always.

And looking at my unstrung RG2020X and asking it, "So, what new pickups would you like me to put in you?"
