I am selling this guitar and some other gear for a friend of mine. If it does not sell here it will be off to Evilbay. I am also selling a Boss DR880 drum machine and a Digitech GNX3000 processor. Please see the seperate listings for those.
Ok this guitar is amazing.... Jason bought it from a person here on JEMSITE. He had a pro setup done to it and added a dimarzio clip lock and the guitar just screams. Here is his description:
This guitar started off as an Ibanez RG3120 Prestige neck and a
custom-made body. Slowly, it was transformed into a nice copy (barring
the neck inlay) of a DNA Jem.
The neck, look, and sound of this guitar actually mimics the Ibanez
Universe multi-color I used to own. The neck is thin and flat, and very
fast. The action is nice and low and just perfect for that Vai/Satriani
legato playing style.
The pickups are Dimarzio Evolutions and a Jem single. There is a
5-way switch that gives you lots of tones. This thing sounds just a like a
The hardware is in excellent + + condition. The paintjob is nothing short
of amazing. The colors are neon and vibrant-yellows, reds, greens, its
got 'em!! It has a clear pickguard like a Jem multi-color. It has the
angled, recessed input jack like a Jem multi-color. It has the monkey
grip like a Jem multi-color. It even has the lions claw trem cavity like a
Jem multi-color. This thing really is just like a Jem multi-color and has
the craftsmanship of a custom guitar, not a mass-produced model.
This guitar is a looker and a player. It begs to be played. I even have a
J-Custom case that fits it perfectly.
The guitar took $1300 total to build plus parts, and then I added a new,
red Dimarzio clip-lok strap ($20). Not bad when you consider the cost of
a "real" DNA Jem. All this guitar would take to make it perfect would be
$500 to give to Christopher Woods to put a DNA helix on the neck. I AM ASKING $900.00 PLUS SHIPPING
