FS: FGM400 Frank Gambale Blazer Blue w/extra neck!

Buy it quickly before I change my mind. This is one of my dream guitars but I find myself making a wholesale change in my playing.

Guitar is exactly as shown in the photos. Nothing's changed. Same condition. I've actually put it away in a case, hidden, for the past few months with the intention of sitting on it.

This is a pretty rare opportunity. Not only is it an FGM400 but it has a zero wear extra neck!

I've somehow justified selling her along with one other guitar (see my other listing for another killer guitar).

You're looking at the last of it's generation Ibanez FGM400. It's a 1997 and it's naturally relic'd. It's been gigged but cared for. It plays and sounds better than any of the other four S models I own. Best. No questions. I'm not going to be upset if it doesn't sell.

It's all original except for a brass block on the trem and noiseless springs. The original block will be included along with the original springs. Electronics are all original and unmolested.

Condition. All of the hardware is in excellent condition. NO BLISTERS on the lo pro. Pickup rings don't have any fading. Has the original beehive knobs!

Fret wear is minimal. DOES NOT NEED a fret job. And when it does, you have another neck to bolt on! This neck was a take off of what was probably a guitar that came in with a damaged body. So it was mounted at some point. It has zero wear and came from a licensed Ibanez repair shop.

There are NO CRACKS anywhere. Not at the nut, not on the neck anywhere. Not on the body. Not the neck pocket.

99% of the wear on this guitar is on the back around the spring cavity. The front is in surprisingly good shape with a bit of wear on the blades of the top and middle humbuckers. No scratches or dings on the front of the guitar or the horns.

Very minor chip at the tip of the headstock. The replacement neck has similar but can be repaired easily. I was actually working on this and I'm at the last step of filling in the piece of white binding that's missing. It's perhaps 1mm across. Really tiny.

One small 3mm chip on base of the guitar, one small pencil tip ding right next to it. Can't see them when looking at the front of the guitar.

Mechanically, everything works as new. Tremolo, everything. Neck is straight. All the electronics work as they should. Has the tremolo bar.

Set up with 9's, brand new Ernie Cobalts. Love these strings!

Comes with a BRAND NEW case with matching blue velvet lining. I planned it that way. I swear.

The pickups and tremolo are recessed an additional 3mm over a standard S series from that period. It's very sleek, even more so than other S series guitars. I've owned a few standard and LTD S series from this period and earlier. I can say this guitar is in a different league in terms of tone, sustain, everything. Better wood? Who knows.

The volume knob is push/pull and splits the humbuckers for a variety of additional sounds. Think Herman Li model. Yep, you can get your strat on with this guitar. That's why it's called a super strat!

I'm pricing this at $1,000 plus shipping with the new case AND the extra neck, original springs, original trem block included. I can get a fairly good deal in shipping via Fed Ex from work and ground, to most places, is under $50. Whatever it costs to ship is what I'll charge but it'll only go fully insured.

I've sold two other guitars on this forum and I'm on TGP and ebay where I have 100% feedback (velocityimages). Contact me via PM or email. Paypal accepted + 3% unless you gift it. It is available to be seen in person if you're close to SW Florida and I'm fine with someone trying it out first.

Now on to the good part, photos!

Sold! I did not sell it with the extra neck so if anyone is interested, shoot me a PM. I'll probably end up putting it on the bay if I don't get a quick response.
