FS: Vintage 1972 Fender Telecaster (NOT Reissue)

Item for sale:

An original 1972 Fender Telecaster

Description & Condition:

Ash body, solid maple neck, original pickups (and if you know Fender, their pickups only sweeten themselves with age)

Excellent condition - It's seen more gigs than most guitars can claim for. It's by all means a players guitar, but that's doesn't mean it's beat - it's one of the best looking Telecasters I've seen, especially at such an age. It was handed down to me by my father, who took care of it as well as he took care of me (and I turned out pretty well ). Originally came with a white finish, but that faded over the years and could have easily been mistaken as Urine colored, so we had the finish professionally stripped off. Nobody would notice now. I normally think it's bull**** when most people say this, but pictures can by NO MEANS do this thing justice. I've posted quite a few pictures at the bottom here, but this guitar has to be seen to believe. It just sorta shimmers.

Anyway, the only flaws that you can pick out on this are as follows - one worn down spot on the lower horn, and two noticeable scratches on the bass side of the body. Other than that, the only thing wrong with it is two missing string-hole holders on the backside of the guitar (there's pictures of all of this by the way). I'm picky so it annoys me, but at the same time, it sort of looks nice haha. In any case, these are easily replaceable, and if it's a problem, I'll replace them before shipping.

Comes with the ashtray pickup cover, and the case isn't included with the price, but it IS worth money (it's beat to hell on the outside, but it's also original), and if you're looking to buy it, maybe we can work something out. It's also made by Fender.

Wiring and such is in immaculate shape and there shouldn't be any issues with it what-so-ever.

The neck is as sturdy as possible and is a dream if you like thin necks.

Asking Price: $1800

My Location:

Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania (zip code 15666) - about 30 minutes east of Pittsburgh.

Terms of Sale/Purchase:

I'd also be interested in trading for a Schecter C-7 Blackjack or some other high end 7-string plus cash (of course), cause my 7-string is also being sold and I absolutely need one for the band I'm with.

Buyer pays shipping. My band and I are building a recording studio within the next two weeks and I just can't hold on to this guitar anymore. It has a lot of sentimental value to both my father and I, but it's a shame to see it sit in it's case. Plus, I have far too many things that need payed for.

Going price right now is $2000 with the case, shipped!

Buyer pays no shipping, and this case is valuable on it's own.

Or

$1000 plus a decent 7 string
