E-bay to stop sellers from leaving feedback - Page 4 - Jemsite
Vendors, Auction & Reseller Talk Not for posting JEM/UV ads. Not for posting dealer/broker ads. Not for advertising ebay auctions. This is to chat about resellers, various gear in question, odd items or the people selling them.

Re: E-bay to stop sellers from leaving feedback

How about a 14 day limit where if both parties don't leave feedback then only the guy that has submitted gets his feedback published?

I've been ready to jump from e-bay for a long time. I just wish someone had the balls to do a full in-your-face marketing campaign and really take them on because don't forget that it's not just us musicians that have had enough of their crap. All kinds of sellers would leave left, right and centre.

Good point Rich

The old system was seriously flawed though - no denying that!

Whatever system is introduced, there'll be flaws, or people who "manipulate" the "rules" to suit them.........

As a buyer all you need to do is, pay(preferably quickly) and in the way and currency the auction states........... and then be happy to receive what was described in the auction. Not a great lot to go wrong.......

But its the dodgy sellers who spoil it for the good guys (me n you and a few select others)............ which is probably why 3bay have made the changes in the direction they have as that is in the direction that the prbolems occur......
Thats not to say there aren't buyers out there who are total ******'s though......

Wherever theres people with money to spend - there'll be rogues who'll be happy to take it

I am soooo done with e bay. I have a some transactions, not a ton, around 160 or so, on ****, with 100% positive feedback. I always ship fast, etc, etc, etc...Before the policy change I never had a deadbeat bidder, now its the rule not the exception! Today I had a winning bidder contact me, and ask to mutually withdraw the deal beacause he found a cheaper deal on a USED x300 laptop whereas mine is brand new. ugghhhh!!

All you people that are primarily bidders enjoy the changes, but **** is driving honest sellers like me away. I'd rather sell it for a bit less on craigslist than deal with these jerks anymore
