JS3 On The Bay

Hi all

Been a long time since I've been on here...just been browsing the usual places to pickup guitars online and came across a JS3 for sale on the Bay - yours for $29,500 ONO.

I'm sure most of you have probably seen it, but it got me thinking how much are people really prepared to pay for some hard to find guitars like a JS3?

Is it just me or is $30k ridiculous?!

I guess it comes down to how badly you want it and how much you can afford to spend....although even if I had millions in the bank I'd have to think twice about $30k for a JS3....sadly not a decision I'll be faced with anytime soon!

Wow. Didn't come up in my searches because I only look at used listings.

I'm sure it's worth a ton but not $30k. I'd love to know what it finally sells for.

Sadly, I doubt we find that out.

My thought was "wow" too. I dont know if I have ever seen a real one for sale. I was getting excited until I saw the price.

I can see it selling for 8-13k reasonably speaking. Depends on who's buying and how motivated they are haha.

I believe Rich has quite a few JS3's.....perhaps this one will end up in his collection too?

I'm pretty sure Rich paid nowhere $30k for any of his JS3's.

No I'm sure he didn't and I didn't mean to make this a thread about how much people paid for rare guitars - apologies if that's how it came across

Neither do I think the guitar will sell for $30k*

One thing's for sure though, the seller will have done a lot better had he sold it on Jemsite - I imagine the eBay fees will be astronomical!

Re: JS3 On The Bay

For general sales, max fee is 250$, so he is probably better off on ebay haha

Re: JS3 On The Bay

Selling on Jemsite over ebay is not the way to go. More people are on ebay then on jemsite, so you have a much larger advertising space.. Plus the risk factor selling on jemsite without some sort of business framework around it like Ebay, means that its risky for both parties especially when your dealing with a guitar that is worth around 10 to 15K.
