over $1500??? Someone's gotta be smoking some serious crack to pay that much for a white RG470L with a lions claw, grip and crappy inlay, not to mention crappy pickups and really bad looking trem swap, that might not even be stable.

Hey, if they're too stupid to know they're paying over a grand for a lefty 555, then they had it coming.

I know it sounds harsh, but hey, it's the truth.

Nobody got ripped. The last 555L I remember seeing sell was $2000. Lefty's don't have a lot of choice if they want a JEM, and 555L's very rarely come up for sale.

Spend the $2000 on a fully custom made one which will be 10x better quality? Or get a 550L body and slap a 777 neck on it like I did, still 50x better than a 555, and still cheaper. Hell the 3120 I have is way better in all respects as well.

Re: No no no, this can't be right at all...

Damn guys, it amazes me how much spending money pisses everyone on this site off so much. The guy wanted a guitar, he worked his ass off and earned enough to buy it, and he posted the winning bid.

Apparently there were at least 3 other guys who thought it was worth $1600+.

Just because it went out of your price range doesn't mean you have to bash the dude. He is just a fellow jem fanatic who has g.a.s. just like the rest of us. Sometimes you over pay for something you really want. I overpaid for a dna and you would have thought the world was coming to and end, but the funny thing is, I knew i overpaid, but i wanted it and it was my $5k to spend. How bout congratulating the guy for getting a guitar he really wanted? People come here to share excitement about purchasing jems (& other ibanez guitars), because last i checked this is a site dedicated to the loving of jems. Its not letmetellyouhowtospendyourhardearnedcashassface.co m, it's jemsite.com.

So dude who won a lefty 555 for over $2k, if you ever read this, I personally congratulate you. It's an awesome guitar! Not my cup of tea, but a fine guitar none the less.

Damn man, you people can suck the fun out of guitar ownership real quick.

On that note, if anyone wants to overpay for any of the 6 Jems I have listed on 3bay, know that I will never judge or bash you one bit .

(hehehe, that's a long post to do a little advertising for your jems isn't it )

I could really care less about the people who bought it, I'm happy that they bought a guitar they wanted, what I'm not happy about it is way over inflating the price on a guitar that truly doesn't deserve it, period.
