1993 RG470 Square heel w edge trem??

Hey all, I hope one(or more) of the EXPERTS can shed some light on this, I was at local pawn shop today, found a 1993 RG 470 (6 digits in serial no beginning with 3) it has the square heel body/neck but heres the weird thing, theres no contouring on the body where it bolts on. It has an edge trem, with pop in bar, I took neck off at shop to inspect both neck and body were stamped 470, it has one piece wizard neck V7 S1 , X2n dimarzio in neck(replacement I know) but as far as I can tell it has not been modified, has anyone had or seen one of these? It reminds me of a 565 I had few years back, but I cant remember if the body was contoured up by where it bolts on, thanks for your help, Sambo

RG5xx and 7xx guitars with the old heel had the slant, RG4xx guitars did not.

As far as I understand the RG470 made in 1993 are like that. I have lefty Rg470 that is made 1993 with the Wizard I neck and Edge tremolo. Put EMGs in it and it sounds awesome. congrats to a great guitar

Yeah man, the 93 RG470s are like that! I have one too! Exactly the same as the 500+ guitars except for the countoured heel, back of neck feels different, and the jack is different. Other than that its the same! Catalog says Wizard neck, but it feels a little bit bigger, but not as big as a Wizard II.. IDK.. lol.
