200w diy guitar amp

I made a guitar head and a 212 combo using a 200w tda7293 board for poweramp, 2 ne5532 boards for the preamp, a 400w transformer and some other components. The amplifier has 2 channels, clean and distortion. The clean channel has an eq off useful when using a preamp or multi effects processor in front the amp. Each channel has it's own independent eq. The power amp is class AB and the pre amps are class A. It sounds loud, clear and precise. I was really amazed when I first heard it, the tda7293 and ne5532 combination was beyond my expectations. The resonance is amazing, I had 2 bandits a traynor ycv80 a Marshall 100w head none of them come close to the sound and clarity of this amp. If you are planning to do a diy amp using the Tda 7293 and Ne5532 do it, I can confirm it is a real tone machine.

Re: 200w diy guitar amp

Looks pretty cool, did you follow a schematic or just figure it out yourself? I started building my first DIY amp, an AX84 firefly. Just about done, I'm anxious to try it

100 watts sounds insanely-loud. 200? No thanks. I'd like to maybe have children someday.
