3 Amps, 3 Prices, 3 Tones, 1 Winner!

Alright guys. It's poll time! Except I don't know how to make a poll so I'll just ask! Well I want to buy a new amp. Tube. And I'm wondering about these 3 amps. A Cornford MK50 head, a Bogner Uberschall, and a Voodoo Hex or Whichdoctor. Links are http://www.cornfordamps.com/ for the MK50 they have sound samples there. http://www.bogneramplification.com/ for the Uberschall they also have sound clips there. And http://www.voodooamps.com/ For the Hex and Whichdoctor. They only have sound samples of the Hex for the moment. I'm goin for a Satriani (Extremist Album) type of tone. Let the poll begin!

I'd go for Bogner.
Just a gut feeling.
Ecstacy sounds so nice.

The Uberschall is uber-sweet sounding from the bits I've heard so far.

Uberschall Period. It is by the far the baddest F-er I have ever heard. It made me want to trade in my 3 Marshall heads and a Jem for one!! When you compare the Ubershall's quality to a Marshall it is a joke. It is like a Ferrari and a Yugo. I don't know why you don't have a Soldano on your list. My choice would be between a Soldano Decatone and the Uberschall. In fact, I may indeed buy a Uberschall if I could find one within 200 miles of me. There is one dealer in the state of TX and they say it is a long wait.

For some reason, I've always thought Mesa Mark-IV for that album...

I've heard tons of good things about the Cornford amps -- plus their customer service is dynamite! I emailed them a question about the MK50 and Paul Cornford, the owner, replied personally! That's cool!

Ive never played either of the other amps but my guess is your chance of being unsatisfied with the Uberscall is 1 in a million. I play an Ecstasy. Thiers a reason it has that name.

Right on! Did Joe use a Mark IV? I thought he was a Marshall lover in that time.. My JS10->Mark IV Red Channel always sounded exactly like the Motorcycle Driver tone.

I have no idea, actually... I think in the liner notes it said he used some mesa gear, but it doesn't say what. All I know is the tones sure SOUND pretty Mesa-esq... Don't know if it was just hos DS-1 settings and board EQ or what though.

Does anyone know of some good listening examples of the Shiva?

I've never paid much attention to Bogner, but yesterday listened to all those clips from their site. I know some ppl have said those clips aren't very good, but I think I've got a good idea of the Uberschall and Ecstasy (the latter really impressed me) but from those clips, the Shiva just sounds like a mediocre midground between the other two amps.
