amp slaving

Hey guys, I have a few amps and was toying with the concept of slaving an amp into another. I'm not sure if I have the concept or not.
How would I go about doing this? Would I have to run out of one amp's fx loop send into the front input on another to slave them? Or do I need some kind of special output on the amp to do this? I know some amps have an actual "slave out" jack on the back.

I'm using the following amps:
Marshall TSL 100
Carvin Legacy
Engl e101
peavey classic 30
& vox valvetronix.

Any suggestions??? Pro's/Con's???

check the petrucci forum, gear talk, thread about holdsworth's tone. some guy there explains that amp slaving thing, and what's required.
