Amp in your garage?

I'm thinking about moving my Legacy half stack into my garage. My only concern is that I'm worried that the heat will kill it. Anyone have any experience they'd care to share about this?

I have been spending a lot less time on my computer and I'm looking to focus more on playing where I can only focus on playing.

Re: Amp in your garage?

In NC, our stuff stayed in a rental warehouse where we practiced, summer and winter, of course it didn't get LV, NV hot there... Didn't seem to damage them. When you are running your amp the tubes get really hot, hotter than your garage so it shouldn't hurt it. The only real concern would be the speakers, the glue that holds the cone specifically, but again, when you're running it hard, they get pretty warm too. I would think bitter cold, think WI in winter, would be worse than heat. But, these are my thoughts, take if for what it's worth, they come with no guarantees, written or implied

Re: Amp in your garage?

I would be worried more about when the garage floods than heat. My garage is the coolest part of my house!

Re: Amp in your garage?

I've kept my Legaacy combo in my garage for awhile now and I don't believe any harm has come to it.
