Amplitube 3 recording realtime manual wah wah

I dont have a wah wah pedal or the incredibly laughable 100 expression pedal for A3 and I want to record wah wah to the solo manually using the mouse to change the wah's depth while im playing back the pre-recorded solo, is that possible?

I tried using cool edit to record the stereo mix channel but cool edit runs but wont record if A3 is running.

Hope you can help cos ive always wanted to know this

AFAIK you can't record midi data and audio data at the same time so unfortunately no this isn't possible which is a real shame because that would be an awesome feature.

Same here, im sure theres a way of doing it all on PC.
I thought maybe run 2 sound cards, ive done it before but never tried recording from one card to the other in realtime.

I haven't done it, but in theory, you could have a MIDI pedal, you can find them online. You could probably use the midi "learn" function with thew wah somehow, then you could manipulate it in real time if you had is recording midi to a separate track, and the send the midi to the guitar traCK.

I thought of that but ive never used midi before, tried to find ways to fool my PC into using something home made.

I used a very old Yamaha CS5 synth (like hawkwind used) as a wah wah pedal once, i rigged it up to a mount and made a pedal that turned one of the filter knobs on the synth lol worked great and probably the most natural wah effect ive ever heard, just far too huge to use on stage etc.

Thanks. Thats one big universe of knowledge, almost scary. I like the sound of being a "musician, audio engineer, and producer" though even if it is just a few youtube videos lol

Probably there's a section in its manual about how to midi control its wah.
There should be a midi control number which you could control using any midi controler.
MANUAL.
