Amps and cables randomly stopped working

Alright so I have a rack setup a marshall head and a line six combo and today they all just stopped working. I've tried multiple guitar cords and different guitars but I still get a really weak signal from my amps. Anyone have a similar experience?

Re: Amps and cables randomly stopped working

Start by eliminating variables. One guitar, one cable (preferably one you know is good or can test continuity on) straight into one amp. Then add things piece by piece until you find the problem.

If it is different cables and different amps, but the same guitar, I would start with checking the guitar's wiring.

Thanks for all the info. I'm new to racks so I thought maybe it was a pre amp or something at first. I discovered that faulty guitar output jack was the culprit! So I'll be fixing that this weekend when I get a new soldering gun.

All guitars have faulty guitar output jack ? How many guitars you tried?

change of plug socket, or check the voltage on the socket terminals.
And then check all variables, as described by the other fellow jemsiters. Good advices here!
