Anyone use the Fender Mustang floor processor?

Since I'm getting back into this hobby again I'm thinking of getting a floor processor. Acquiring a huge stack and a ton of pedals to connect to it would be great and all that but just not appropiate for my current situation being in an apartment.

Also with all the modeling technology getting better and better in various products its a concept I'd like to start utilizing. I've never tried any recording either and just doing some quick research recently it appears alot of these do come with USB support and software to do just that.

The Fender Mustang floor unit right now stands out as one I'm extremely interested in. Its priced under 200 dollars, has a ton of FX and amp models and not just Fender specific ones either. Recording ability and an online community to share and switch swap with one another. I'm thinking of seriously getting one.

Anyone here at the hive mess with one yet? Other alternative products with similar features and price range I should be looking into as well?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Anyone use the Fender Mustang floor processor?

I've been using one for a while, love it. It's simple to use and sounds great. I tried a handful of others and liked this one best. I was willing to pay more, and quite happy not to. The "floor" doesn't seem to have that "digital noise" that I heard in the others. Running it through the effects loop in my old Mesa Boogie with a BBE sonic maximize. But if you want to use lots of effects in one patch it may not be for you.

Re: Anyone use the Fender Mustang floor processor?

Bumping this thread...

Almost 3 years later, anyone else can comment on this FMF? The price is great, and I'm absolutely sure that it has awesome clean amp modelings and effects. My only concern is about high gain stuff (hard rock tones), never heart anything particularly great on YT... can anyone comment on this subject?

Re: Anyone use the Fender Mustang floor processor?

I have the Mustang 3 which is basically the same thing in an amp, and it's great. What got me when I demo'd it was how it has that Fender amp tone (which you'd miss with the floor unit). I'd say any of the Mustang range except the 1 & 2, are great. From 3 up has that nice screen etc onboard. Works great with the editing software as well. I had my laptop sitting next to me while I played live - made controlling everything really easy.
