Bad horsie pedal sound?

I am thinking swapping my cry baby for a bad horsie pedal but have heard mixed reports on the sound i just wondered if any one could explain the difference in tone of the two. but would i still get the right sound for the solo in sweet child of mine? Thanks for any help.

I like the crybaby for playing stuff on the high strings and the bad horsie (contour mode) for chords and low string stuff.

when i had a go on one it seemed to have quite a narrow(sp?) range without using the contour and setting the range alot higher, but i only had a little go on one quite a while ago. Go and try one out for yourself

Ive got one i bought second hand off ebay( BH1). Its quite good but i would say check out other pedals. It does indeed have quite a narrow range and you cant rock the pedal back and forth and expect to get a wah sound, its more a case of finding a point then rocking it a few cm either way.

Id personally look into the BH2 contour as you can change the settings etc

I've got both a crybaby and a BH2. The BH2 is the pedal I prefer but, it is either on or off regardless of the contour setting. The contour seems to drive the sound more; but its sad that there is so much pedal sweep physically yet the sweep is so sharp.

The way I see it the Crbaby goes "wah" and the
Bad Horsie goes "wow"

Dunlop 535Q, it will do everything you ever need, I personally don't like the switchless wah's. Its sound more musical coming in on the top range of the sweep IMO.

The 535Q has 20db boost, contour modes, volume and tone pots - killer.
