I DID get to ask him.....but stupid me, didn't ask about about the 2. That's actually one of his boards... the other one has a BF3 Flanger, a DD-3 and a DD-5, one of which he uses for like a minute.
Here's an exact transcription (Keeley fans, read the second question
Do you still use mainly Marshall and Boss pedals onstage?
I use very few pedals: a Dunlop wah wah, a Fulltone Ultimate Octave, Digitech Whammy pedal and a Boss DS-1, and thatís my number one pedalboard. The second board just has two Boss delays, of which I use only one, and the extra one gets used maybe one minute on the entire show, and I have a Boss Flanger unit, that I use for one song.
Do you get them modded?
No, I donít like the mods at all. I think the true bypass is kinf of unnnecesary, really, because the transition between turning the unit on and turning it off is too extreme. The unintentional beauty of non bypass is that once you pass through the pedal, you are more stable in sound. And once you go into another pedal, the gain structure is pumped up again, so I think even tough the sound maybe going down because youíre going into another pedal, it goes up again because it goes into another box. The worst thing you can do for a sound, is to have a really long cord, not the bypass in the pedals.
