Bugera 333 infinium noise! please help!!

Hi Guys,

When using effects pedals through my bugera 333 infinium head on the crunch/lead channels i get a loud buzz/hum which is constant also my Noise gate won't eliminate the noise.

I have tried all my effects pedals inline which each other, and also separate, i thought it was my power supply brick, but after ordering another different branded one i am having exactly the same problem, also when both power supplies are unplugged the noise goes away, i should also mention i have tried different leads, wall sockets, and even my next door neighbors, but can not get riz of the horrible buzz!

Please help!

Go get a Sovtek 12AX7 LPS and stick it in the v4 (Phase Inverter) position and see what happens. The PI tube should be the one nearest to the first power tube.

Post your findings.

Jimmy

P.S.: In case you're wondering, you won't have to bias any preamp tubes, only the power tubes need to be biased.

actually infinium amps are self biasing and you can stick 6l6 and el34 of any brand in there and it works perfect. thats power amp tubes .
i ran 6l6 and el34 same time works a beat. mines a 333xl infinium. als try to turn down the effects signal on the back of the amp.

This is a long shot but, since the 333 was modeled to rip off the JSX, I would first rule out preamp tubes and power tubes. If the noise persists, it's a long shot but you might be looking at replacing some caps (I would have that amp checked out by a tech though just to make sure).

ISP Decimator G-String.
Boss NS-2.

Get one of those and put it at the END of your chain. Make sure it's through the guitar to amp chain AND the effects loop.

A lot of effects pedals can add some hum or buzz. The MXR 10 band EQ is even known for it. So you put a noise supressor at the end of your chain to clear everything up.

The ISP Decimator G-String is simply the best of the best. But it's expensive. The Boss NS-2 get's the job done as well. Just a BIT harder to use (since it has three knobs over just the one on the Decimator).

Does the noise still happen when you use batteries? Certain pedals really dopnt work sharing power....

Try adding in the pedals one by one too when using the p ower supply...

BTW the 333 is based on the XXX not the JSX thats the 333xl which has the inbuilt noise gate...

Could be a preamp tube but if the noise only happens with the pedals/and power unit theres a culprit likely to be hiding amongst them..

Also you may want to get decent cables too...
