This. The electronics guy who works at my store/school won't even do repairs on Berhinger products. Doesn't even want to touch them.

That said, I don't think the sound quality is bad on these amps, I just think they're poorly built, cheap and likely to fall apart on you.

I'll pay the extra money for the Peavey Tank.

that's probably due to the fact they are mostly using surface mounted components which are pain in the neck to mess around.

It's funny, plenty of people have made various marshall clones, and most don't carry on like this. Make a 5150 or Mesa clone and people go off!
Actually, yes - wouldn't judge a book by its cover.
I've played a couple of bugeras.......I would rather own the real deal.

And also with Marshall......i don't get it. i think maybe its that the parts/schematics are alot more widely available (105 transformer anybody?) and its easy to make good sounding Marshall compared to Mesa.

+ Build Quality is a dead set seller for me.

Re: Bugera amps

Just a quick observation, but a lot of stuff breaks. My JCA100H just started losing volume, probably as a result of vibration. Just saying...

Re: Bugera amps

When it comes to build quality, JetCity is probably in the same range. Both build low priced versions of famous and expensive amps.

I have some Behringer outboard stuff (compressors etc) that I have used for years and they have never given me a day of trouble.

Never tried the Bugeras out though.

Saying that, my next amp purchase will be a Soldano. You can't beat the real deal.
