Chinese amps?

I'm moving to China and don't want to ship my amps/pedals (just my four guitars). I'd like to buy new gear when I get there but I don't know what I'm in for. Anybody have any links, stories, hints, etc to share?

Re: Chinese amps?

I would but jeez, that's my other problem. I'm vegetarian! I don't know where to eat OR buy amps.

Where in China are you moving to ? I lived in Hong Kong and traveled to China a bit, and there are places to buy equipment..

Ibanez have a representative in China (guangzhou)

Google mok meat resturants around china there are plenty of them... and taste damn good

Luzhou, Sichuan Province.
Thanks for the mok meat tip. I keep running into people saying that China does not know what veg is.

Re: Chinese amps?

It's funny. I can't figure it out but a lot of Chinese made products made for export are not available in that country. At least I think. Maybe it would help if I spoke Mandarin. But if I could find a Peavey or Orange that would be fine by me. I'll keep an eye out thanks!
