Choosing an EQ for the effects loop

Hey!

I want to put an EQ into my effects loop and don't know what to buy.

I play anything from traditional metal and hard rock, to thrash and death metal.

I'm using:
JCM 900 Dual Reverb 100w 2x12 combo (please leave out the insults and suggestions of buying a new amp ).
Joyo Vintage Overdrive (like a Bad Monkey, but slightly better imo and even cheaper).
Ibanez XPT700 (with the stock Dimarzio D Activators).

+1 for the Joyo. I don't own their EQ pedal just yet, but if the quality is anything like the analog delay I have from them, it's an excellent bang for the buck. And it's true bypass!

If you don't mind spending a little more check out the Empress ParaEQ

What makes the Empress ParaEQ worth spending an extra $200? (compared to the Joyo)

Re: Choosing an EQ for the effects loop

I used to gig with a 900 head,,,and after that , a TSL100 head. I used to run a boss eq in the loop for a solo boost/volume jump, and it did a great job. In fact, I used velcro to attach a little metal bar from the footswitch on the boss eq to the footswitch on a boss dd-5 delay pedal so that one stomp would turn them both on for a volume boost and slight echo/delay at the same time for my leads!
