Mine says version 1.2a. I don't know what's different but if you have questions I'll try to help.

i had a question on what most people with cool edit pro use for drums because i play drums and have two drumsets, but i want a fast, easy way to create drum tracks without setting up mics for my drums and just using a drum machine program.

Then cool edit ain't for you. I've seen links to a drum m/c program. Run a search and good luck.

Cool edit is now Adobe Audition, and they have loops on their Loopology site. Some are drums, so you could build a track that way - similar to what people are doing with Sony's ACID program. In fact, you could probably use Acid loops in Cool Edit.

Or, you could go the virtual machine route.

Sonic Foundry makes Acid, not Sony.

not true: "Sound Forge, Vegas, ACID and other desktop media software products are now part of Sony Pictures Digital. Click below to visit Sony Media Software.", from sonicfoundry.com...
