For a long time I'd been resorting to the standard metal A-frame guitar stands in the corner of the living room to store my guitars on. Practical, but not incredibly classly looking. Finally, I decided it was time to upgrade to something a little better, and I stumbled across this:
This guy makes guitar stands out of various woods (oak, walnut, cherry) for acoustics and electrics. The acoustic stands can hold 2, 3, or 5 guitars; and the electric stands can hold 3, 5, or 9 guitars.
I ordered three oak stands--two 9-electric stands and one 3-acoustic stand. Here are the results:
L to R: Customized RG2020x, RG3120TW, USRG30TP, JPM100P1, JPM90HAM, JEM90HAM, JS90HAM, Jackson USA Soloist SLS, Gibson Les Paul Standard DC+
L to R: RG7CTVV, RG1880BGS, RGART, UV777BK, UV77MC, JEM7VWH
L to R: Guild True American, Takamine EF385 12-string, Gibson Country Western Model
Guitars not included
Anyway, if you're in the market for some nice looking guitar stands and you're not inclined to make them yourself (if you're as lazy as I am), then you might give these a shot. Both people I talked to were very friendly and helpful, and the stands are well-built and reasonably priced. And no, I'm not getting kickback if all of you rush out to order these stands.
