Dean Markley Strings

Hey everyone, I just had a few questions. First off, correct me if I'm wrong, but the Dean markley Blue Steel's are cryogenicly frozen steel wrapped around a steel core, correct? And the NickelSteel's are Nickel wrapped around a steel core, right? Also, what is the standard metal that is used on Ibanez's for frets? I don't want a string made out of harder, stronger material than my frets. Also, right now I'm about to put on a set of GHS 10-46 boomers with a 60 for the low b on my 7-string, but I've been considering getting a set of Dean Markley Light Top Heavy Bottoms, thus having the other wound strings bumped up in gauge. What do you guys think? I mainly play hard rock and metal.

I don't know about the metal composition of Blue Steels. I only ever tried them once, and wasn't sufficiently impressed with them to try them again, especially since they were more expensive. I just didn't see the point. I seem to remember them making my fingertips itch or something weird like that.

GHS does make a 7-string set that goes from .010 to .060, and it's available at juststrings.com. I'm a die-hard GHS Boomers fan, and that's the set i use on my 7-string.
