Delay units for mics

As some of you may or may not know i play the didgeridoo in a band. I want to use some delay with it and was wondering if i could use a guitar stomp box. The problem is mics are balanced and i would assume the pedals were unbalanced. Also could there be impedence problems with doing this?

If this is not an optino can anyone recommend me a decent reverb/delay unit which i could run through for live use.

Thanks

You could use a pedal if it were patched through the FX loop on the P.A. you're going into. I'm not sure what kind of frequency response the guitar pedal delays are based on, but I don't think it would kill any part of your dig's range.

I'd recommend looking into a really fancy vocal/guitar/studio processor of some sort in the future, simply because you'd have more options beyond just delay (think pitch-shift, harmonizer, etc )

You never know what you can come up with. The piano-sounding bit at the end of Incubus' "Warning" is a guitar through a vocal processor on harmonizer or something and Mike let the notes ring through which really messed with the processor's pitch systems, creating that cool step-sound
