Dimarzio ! Dimarzio ! which one

my choice is between a Tone Zone/Air Norton or a Evo set
i play quite alot of thrash metal like metal but i also play alot of stuff from steve vai , paul gilbert and soloist . i'am running thru a roland cube 60 via a ibanez rg550

Evolutions are great pickups, but are definitely soloing pickups. You'll have to crank the bass on your amp to accommodate if you want thump.

Well, if you want the Metallica sound, and you want to stick with Dimarzios, look into the D-Activator pickups. They emulate EMG actives very well and give a wide variety of tone choices.

For the old Metallica sound, stock Gibson pickups will suit you best, TBH.

If you have to have DiMarzio, though, I'd tell you to go with an X2N or a D-Activator.

the output is too high for me
i read the dimarzio page it has even higher output then my EMG's lol
i'am currently using emg81/85 not likely it that much

i heard a couple of sample's from a guitar friend of my of a tone zone in the bridge sounds pretty awesome
