i have to agree with madwell, if you want anything that resembles a tight chunky tone -- do not buy an evo7. *they sing, not yell. *the blaze II is the death machine, chunk chunk chunk -- i love it. * the tone zone 7, to me, is the in between -- it has the sing of an evo while retaining some control in the low end, but it is much closer to the evo than it is to the blaze. *i like the paf7 in the neck. *it has the warmth that i like with a decent attack, not as good as the blaze, but smooth attack. *but it is much sweeter sounding than the blaze, so its a trade-off. *bottom line---------if youre gonna play more rhythm, go with the blazes; *if youre gonna play a bunch of solo stuff like vai, get a paf7 and an evo7; *if youre gonna play a little rhythm with your solos, get a paf7 and a tone zone 7. *but i would not suggest mixing a blaze with either of the other two, the blazes have way too much high end response to match well with the others. *just my $0.02.

i do retract a bit of that statement---------with the proper eq settings, the blaze neck will work with the evo or the tz in the bridge. *i think im gonna use the evo and the blaze until i try an air norton 7
