eq help

i have a small marshall stack and i really need help on setting the eq up right.....im trying to get the sound or metropolis by dt

totally different sounding amps im afraid, Dream Theater use mesa amps, i think motropilis pt2 was a Mk IIc. youll have a hard time getting that sound from a marshall

the general guide for eqing is keep the mids up, the bass not too high, the gain down and set the treble to taste

yeah well this is just a nice little practice setup if i get good ill move on to the mesa! tanks for the help i guess a jackson to emgs to marshall mini stack wont sound like john hehehe
